FERROUS SULPHATE HEPTAHYDRATE (FeSO4.7H2O)

Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate, commonly known as Copperas is a blue-green crystal that's soluble in water and melts at approximately 64o C. It is generated as a by-product during the manufacture of Titanium Dioxide, through sulphate process.

Application

Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate is used as a micro-nutrient in soil applications. It is also used a coagulant to remove the colour of the effluence from the textile washing plants.
